Meet Paxos

Paxos is one of the most impressive islands of the Ionian Islands and all of Greece. It is located in the Ionian Sea, south of Corfu, and administratively belong to it. Symbol of the municipality of Paxos is a trident right and left from which stand a dolphin. According to mythology, the Paxos were created when the god Poseidon struck Corfu with his trident, cutting off its southern end and forming the Paxos, to house his love affair with Amphitrite. However, he lost his trident, which was found by the inhabitants of the island and made it their emblem.
